Regent’s Canal Garbage – Part 2

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOn a beautiful sunny summer afternoon, I always enjoy my afternoon jogging. What I enjoy less, are the dark secrets the sun illuminating the Regent’s Canal unveils.

The riverbed is virtually covered with garbage – sunk beer-cans, broken paddles and other kayaking equipment, and tonnes of various stuff people have thrown into the canal.

I wonder how many tonnes of tin one would be able to extract if all the beer-cans were recovered from the bottom of the canal.
